What "patching flaws" looks like
These are buzzwords used to make fundamentally flawed architecture sound state-of-the-art. Here's what they actually mean.

Bank-level encryption | HTTPS. The same protocol every website uses since 2018. It protects data in transit—not data at rest in databases. It does not prevent employee access or breaches. |
Military-grade encryption | AES-256 encryption for stored data. They still have the keys. Their employees can access your data. If breached, those keys are compromised. |
Secure storage | Your brokers credentials sitting in their databases. Encrypted, yes. But accessible to employees and a target for attackers. In fact, storing credentials is not necessary. |
Third-party aggregators | They outsource key features to other companies. Your credentials pass through their servers, then to a third-party company you never heard of. Your credentials now exist in multiple databases you don't even know. |
We take security seriously | SOC 2, ISO 27001, pen tests or the likes. These standards are about processes, not architecture. While following the procedures to the letter, they still store your credentials. |
